BOMAT becomes part of the Raab Group

Since 1 January 2026, BOMAT Energiesysteme GmbH has been part of the Raab Group – an important step that further strengthens our expertise in heat recovery and exhaust heat exchangers.

As a specialised unit within the group, we add targeted expertise to the portfolio in the areas of heat recovery and exhaust heat exchangers. The BOMAT brand is retained and will continue as an independent name within the Raab Group.
With the acquisition, Alexander Root – CEO of Kutzner + Weber GmbH and member of the Raab Group’s executive management – takes over as Managing Director of BOMAT. He succeeds Gerhard Schneider, who led and shaped our company over many years. A key element of the acquisition is our patented ceramic technology, which meaningfully extends the Raab Group’s technology portfolio and opens up new applications in heating technology and industrial waste heat.

Going forward, we will combine our expertise in particular with that of the Raab subsidiary NET Neue Energie Technik, to further develop our product and system competencies in energy-efficient exhaust systems. “Substantial synergies will emerge from the collaboration of two experienced companies – especially in terms of sustainability, energy savings and efficiency gains, we see considerable potential,” explains Alexander Root.

For our customers and partners, the new constellation means one thing above all: continuity. Development, know-how and existing customer relationships remain the foundation of our work. At the same time, we will gradually benefit from the Raab Group’s structures – for example in technology platforms, production and group-wide sales.
