BOMAT becomes part of the Raab Group

Since 1 January 2026, BOMAT Energiesysteme GmbH has been part of the Raab Group – an important step that further strengthens our expertise in heat recovery and exhaust heat exchangers.

As a specialised unit within the group, we add targeted expertise to the portfolio in the areas of heat recovery and exhaust heat exchangers. The BOMAT brand is retained and will continue as an independent name within the Raab Group.
With the acquisition, Alexander Root – CEO of Kutzner + Weber GmbH and member of the Raab Group’s executive management – takes over as Managing Director of BOMAT. He succeeds Gerhard Schneider, who led and shaped our company over many years. A key element of the acquisition is our patented ceramic technology, which meaningfully extends the Raab Group’s technology portfolio and opens up new applications in heating technology and industrial waste heat.

Going forward, we will combine our expertise in particular with that of the Raab subsidiary NET Neue Energie Technik, to further develop our product and system competencies in energy-efficient exhaust systems. “Substantial synergies will emerge from the collaboration of two experienced companies – especially in terms of sustainability, energy savings and efficiency gains, we see considerable potential,” explains Alexander Root.

For our customers and partners, the new constellation means one thing above all: continuity. Development, know-how and existing customer relationships remain the foundation of our work. At the same time, we will gradually benefit from the Raab Group’s structures – for example in technology platforms, production and group-wide sales.

BOMAT Energiesysteme GmbH at the Biogas Info Days Ulm 2025

On 29 and 30 January 2025, the Biogas Info Days took place at the exhibition center in Ulm – the largest trade fair for biogas production and utilization in Southern Germany. The event provided an important platform for manufacturers, operators, and professionals to exchange views on current developments, technologies, and solutions in the biogas sector.

The main topics ranged from crop cultivation and plant engineering to economics, nutrient management, innovative technologies for efficient heat transfer, and the flexibilization of biogas plants. The trade fair once again highlighted the diversity and innovative strength of the industry.

BOMAT Energiesysteme GmbH was also present at the event. As a leading original equipment manufacturer of flue gas heat exchangers and a specialist in industrial waste heat solutions, we showcased our patented ceramic technology and highly efficient condensing solutions. With these, we have been setting standards in sustainability and energy efficiency for many years.

The Biogas Info Days once again offered us the ideal opportunity to present our innovations to an interested professional audience, establish new contacts, and gather valuable impulses for the future of biogas utilization.

Successful trade fair appearance at Energy Decentral

From 15.11. to 18.11.2022 we were at the Energy Decentral in Hannover.
With over 1,800 exhibitors from 57 countries and 106,000 visitors, Energy Decentral is the leading trade fair for decentralised energies.

Here, BOMAT presented, among other things, exhaust gas heat exchangers of the latest generation – in modular design.
We hope the trade fair was as interesting and informative for you as it was for us. We were pleased about the many discussions we were able to have directly with our interested parties and customers.

Successful OEM partnership with BDR: BOMAT delivers 50,000th exhaust gas heat exchanger

The long-standing partnership and trusting business relationship with BDR Thermea France based in Mertzwiller (De Dietrich / BDR Thermea Group) records a small record: we delivered the 50,000th exhaust gas heat exchanger.

The BOMAT heat exchanger AWR G 314/32 KV DD ECOIL has been installed in the oil condensing boiler series CFU C CONDENS since September 2014.

DVGW TYPE EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE for
bomat-CleanTec^® RNA-WT1-800

The neutralisation system with patented roller technology, bomat-CleanTec^® RNA-WT1-800 has been awarded the DVGW type examination certificate in accordance with the DVGW VP 114 test principles.

 Highlights of our RNA-WT1-800:

• Neutralisation performance: approx. 30,000 ltr./cartridge (depending on condensate composition)
• For condensates from oil and gas combustion, CHP units and biomass
• Very straightforward maintenance through cartridge change and hassle-free disposal of maintenance materials
• Self-cleaning function prevents build-up of sludge in the neutralisation granules
• Efficient and space saving
• Low electricity costs: approx. € 5 per year (depending on the term)

Successful presentation at the BIOGAS Convention & Trade Fair

From December 10th to 12th, 2019, BOMAT once again was among the 227 exhibitors at the BIOGAS Convention & Trade Fair.
The BIOGAS Convention & Trade Fair is the world’s largest international trade fair exclusively for the biogas industry to learn about innovative technologies and services. Among other things, BOMAT presented exhaust gas heat exchangers of the latest generation – in modular design.
We hope that the show was as interesting and informative to our guests as it was to us.
